Challenge

Challenge

Across Asia and the Pacific, women carry a disproportionate burden of climate change while deep-rooted gender inequalities limit their resilience and leadership. In the context of the pandemic, UN Women needed to make the people—especially women—leading climate solutions in Bangladesh, Cambodia and Viet Nam more visible and show that resilience depends on inclusion.

Approach

Approach

ReEnvision Resilience celebrated nine climate changemakers through a connected storytelling system of short films, portraits, a photo book and social content. A unified creative direction used light and double-exposure imagery to portray each participant as a visionary, helping audiences encounter courage, empathy and innovation across borders.

Regional Consistency Without Losing Context

The regional identity connected work across Bangladesh, Cambodia and Viet Nam while leaving room for each country’s stories and cultural context.

Repositioning Women as Climate Experts

Centering eight women as knowledgeable leaders challenged portrayals of women only as people affected by climate change.

Outcome

Outcome

The campaign created a regional platform for women-led climate leadership and made diverse local solutions visible through one coherent narrative. It positioned gender equality not as a separate issue, but as an essential part of collective resilience and forward-looking climate action.
